Former Mayor Greco Hosts New Show on AM 820 News

A new show debuting Monday, January 9th on local radio station (WWBA) AM 820 News will feature former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco and will be co-hosted by AM 820 News’ Dan Maduri.

The show will be unique in that it will be broadcast live every Monday from noon till 1:00 p.m. in downtown Tampa at Malio’s Prime Steakhouse’s lounge. The public is invited to attend and watch.

The show, titled “The News Hour with Dick Greco” will focus on state and local public affairs, business and politics. It will include appearances by many of the community’s most prominent business people, politicians and personalities.

Dan Maduri says, “The show will be mainly focused on the best guests we can get, with the first being Mayor Bob Buckhorn.  A little later on in the month we’ll follow that up with Mayor Bill Foster.  We’ve also got Attorney General Pam Bondi locked up for a little later on in the month too.”

Greco was mayor from 1967 to 1974 before resigning to join the private sector. He served again from 1995 to 2003. He ran again for the office last year but finished third in the general election. Buckhorn later won a runoff against Rose Ferlita.

“His amazing background in politics and business will be an asset to our listeners.” Len Weiner, WWBA’s Vice President of Programming, said of Greco.
