Why ‘Apprentice’ Castoffs Don’t Matter Regarding Trump

NEW YORK CITY – Several former contestants on Donald trumps old show “The Apprentice” have come forward to oppose his candidacy. It’s interesting who the media pays attention to these days. Would the media give national elevation time to former contestants on “the price is right” if they had strong political views?

The contestants in question are far from credible. None of them got very far on “The apprentice”. In fact they are rightfully in the category that Donald Trump would categorize as a “loser”.

But it breaks the question about what the media is willing to pay attention to. Why is anybody who has been on television somehow credible in the eyes of the media? Why not gauge credibility by thoughtfulness? Why not gauge credibility by critical thinking skills? Not everybody with an opinion deserves to be a pundit. And not everybody with TV time deserves to weigh in on the cable news channels with an opinion about the presidential race.
