The new Mrs. Ryan Reynolds seemed to have put her acting career on the back burner since she tied the knot to her Green Lantern costar a little over a year ago, but E! News can confirm that Lively will hit the big screen soon enough after snagging the starring role in The Age of Adaline.
The newlywed will lead the romantic drama (which begins filming in March) alongside Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, and will play a beautiful woman born at the turn of the 20th century, who stops aging after a near-death accident. Lively’s character then goes on a worldwide excursion throughout the century without divulging her secret, until she meets a special man who shakes things up.
