Binge Watch Weekend Valentine’s Day Edition

Okay it is cold in most places in the United States and it is also Valentine’s Day weekend so our binge watching should be more on the romantic side. Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video and Snag Films are all good places for romantic binge watching.

Netflix is a great place for the Meg Ryan romantic comedy trilogy of When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail. All three have become “rom-com,” classics and give you about six plus hours of date night entertainment for a Valentines weekend.

If you want to watch some TV style binging then of course there is Ross and Rachael in Friends and you can follow them through the years. Or how about The Borgias, if you obsess over costume dramas, make sure you’ve seen The Borgias! Come for the gorgeous 16th century dresses, stay for the illicit love affairs and Roman Catholic scandal. It’s based on the true story of Pope Alexander Sixtus and his family (Yes, the pope had a family!), and you’ll hardly believe how shocking they were. Then there is the old love the one you are with type of love found on Madmen. Not too romantic but always fun to see who is stepping out on whom Don Draper style.

Hulu Plus has this week’s Valentines editions of Modern Family, Blackish, The Middle, New Girl, and Marry Me. If you like your romance a little out there then how about Dr. Who, Community, Bones and Pramface all offer some good binge romantic storylines worth checking out.

Amazon Instant Video is the place for a something new and worth checking  Mozart in the Jungle, a first year original well worth your time. There is nothing like vampire love and that means, True Blood, or how about some love in old England provided by The White Queen.

Finally it is our friends at the old home on Indie files Snag Films where they are having an anti-Valentine’s Day offering of films.  The Freebie, Oral Fixation, Blind Date, Love Hurts and How to go out on a date in Queens, are just a few of the titles they offer those interested in love without the frills.

Okay there is something for everyone and have a great Valentine’s Day.
