When most of us see a banana, the most creative we get is whipping up a cream pie or pudding. When Japanese artist Keisuke Yamada sees a banana, he imagines endless sculptures and gets busy. Yamada uses toothpicks to create awe-inspiring mini replicas of animals and popular fictional characters that are so detailed, it’s hard to understand how he made them.
