Pasco County Code Enforcement and animal services staff responded to 20118 Millet Lane on Land O Lakes regarding a possible hoarding case.
There were 40 plus dogs in a portion of the house. The owner would not permit staff to inspect the entire house. The owner arrived after staff showed up to the property.
There was no evidence of abuse or cruelty to the animals. Appears that they are operating a kennel in a residential zoning district without approval.
The property contains approximately 1 acre.
County Enforcement gave the owners 14 days to reduce the number of animals to 9 since they do not have the proper zoning for a kennel.
