Two Toddlers Drown in Backyard Swimming Pool

TAMARAC, Fla. (AP) _ A toddler has drowned after sinking underwater in a backyard swimming pool in South Florida.

Broward County Sheriff’s deputies said 23-month-old Johnny Davoer and his family were visiting a friend in Tamarac on Saturday.

The child was playing in the shallow end of the pool just a few feet away from where the adults were sitting.

Another family member came outside and asked where the child was.

That’s when they saw Johnny at the bottom of the pool. Family members jumped in and pulled him out of the water.

It’s unclear how long he was under.

A deputy performed CPR, but the child was pronounced dead at the hospital. The number one cause of death for children ages 1 to 4 in Broward County is drowning.

And a  2 year old thought to be watching TV, dies aftter being pulled from a family pool in Homosassa.

Citrus deputies say it happened at home in the 4200 block of South Jody Point.

Jayden Dyess was watching TV when family members last saw her.

Her parents were out at the time.

The 2 year old was rushed to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River where she died.

Jaydens parents were not out. Jayden was spending the weekend with her Grandparents. Her parents live in Ocala and was going there to eat dinner and pick the baby up to take her home. They got there just after Jayden was pulled from the pool. Her parents tried to revive the child. So thank you to the CCSO and the media for completely twisting a report. Pay more atention when doing your job and maybe you wont make such stupid mistakes.
