Talk Back Florida: Craft Beer Edition
Missed part of the show? Here’s a rewind of the program on March 15, 2014.
It was a St. Patrick’s Day celebration on “Talk Back Florida” this week … starting with a live interview with Tampa’s (Irish) Mayor Bob Buckhorn! Mayor Bob talked about turning the Hillsborough River GREEN that day, and Tampa’s third annual “River O’Green” family festivities downtown in Curtis Hixon Park. We talked about new growth & development in the City, Tampa’s recent ranking by Wallet Hub as being the “third best city nationally to find a job” and the Mayor’s upcoming “State of the City” address next week… which will be delivered from a new location in Tampa Heights, the site of the new “Water Works project & Ulele restaurant.
Next, we talked with Democratic political consultant Patrick Manteiga, the Editor & publisher of La Gaceta Newspaper & Republican consultant, Brock Mikosky, President of the Momentum Strategy Group about the CD13 Congressional race, and what impact or predictions it may have on the governors race this Nov.
Then we turned our focus on the booming FL CRAFT BEER industry… in studio our guest was Tom Scherberger, award winning journalist who has been covering the craft beer boom for Creative Loafing.
Celebrated & award winning FL craft brewery owners, Bob Silvester from Saint Somewhere Brewing, Joey Redner form Cigar City Brewing and Greg Rapp, from Rapp Brewing joined our discussion… explaining why & how they got started, their unique brands, flavors and marketing strategies.
It was a great show and we hope you will enjoy it.
