Senate to pass Budget Bill. Prez to sign it
According to POLITICO The United States Senate will pass the Budget Bill today and then send it on to the White House. It is possible that President Obama could sign the bill into law as early as today depending on when the final vote on the bill is taken.
The chamber agreed 67-33 to cut off debate on the budget agreement reached by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) last week. Final passage is virtually guaranteed now and a vote is slated for no later than Wednesday. Florida Senator Bill Nelson voted for the bill while Senator Marco Rubio voted against the Budget Bill.
Twelve Senate Republicans broke ranks and sided with Democrats to end debate on the budget measure: Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, Susan Collins of Maine, Jeff Flake of Arizona, Orrin Hatch of Utah, John Hoeven of North Dakota, Johnny Isakson of Georgia, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, John McCain of Arizona, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Rob Portman of Ohio.
