Trump originally delayed the announcement due to the terrorist attack in Nice, France. He announced his pick Friday morning regardless because Pence had to let the state of Indiana know whether or not he was going to run for re-election by noon Friday.
[Original story] The official announcement was scheduled for 11 am, but since the Nice attack has been called postponed. As of Thursday afternoon, most if not all of the conjecture and smart money is that it will be Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.
