TAMPA, FL – New 911 calls released Thursday are giving more insight to the events leading up to the fiery crash that killed four USF students Sunday morning.
In the 911 recording, the caller (name not released), reported that Danny Morris, 28, was at her birthday party when he suddenly left the party in her 2001 Ford Expedition. “I was having a birthday party at my house and something went out of control, my brother-in-law took our vehicle and completely left,” she told the 911 operator.

She said calls to Morris, who had just moved to the Tampa Bay area from Michigan, went unanswered and she wanted to report the car stolen because she has five kids and that was her only vehicle. “We brought him down from Michigan about a week ago,” she said. “I don’t know what to do.”
