Tuesday morning at about 6:46 am, St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue respond to the intersection of 34th Ave and 1st Street North for a vehicle vs a pedestrian accident.
Police say the pedestrian was a 60 year old female walking along 1st Street and was struck by a vehicle at the corner of 34 Ave.
When fire crews arrived on scene they completed a rapid trauma assessment and declared that the patient was a trauma alert. The patient was taken to Bayfront Health of St. Petersburg and is being evaluated for her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was in her early 30’s and was treated and released on scene.
St. Petersburg Police is investigating.
