Update – 11:37 August 21 – Reed has been found safe in the Wesley Chapel area, according to authorities.
Winter Haven Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 53 year-old Norman Franklin Reed Jr. of Winter Haven who was last seen August 14, 2014. Reed suffers from severe depression and could be a danger to himself.
Reed was last seen by neighbors at his Carlton Arms apartment on August 14, 2014 at 10 p.m. According to Winter Haven Police, he told the neighbor that he had just returned from his father’s funeral. He also indicated to his brother that he was depressed. Reed could be driving his 2008 Dodge Ram Quad pickup truck, red in color, with a West Virginia tag # NMN417. The truck has a chrome push bar on the front and Polk County Fire Department stickers on the rear windows.
