Voter ID Laws Are Under The Microscope

From Florida to Alaska, states that already have voter ID requirements, or are considering implementing them, are watching a legal battle unfolding in Texas.

The Justice Department is in federal court in Corpus Christi, trying to dismantle Texas’ voter ID law, which is one of the strictest in the country. A judge has heard opening statements in the lawsuit filed by minority-rights groups.
