The Tampa Bay Times reports that a young man who was in a fight that involved several people was in the hospital in critical condition Saturday night after the fight developed into a shooting.
Two groups of young people on bikes got into a fight that ended in gun fire on the 5000 block of N Winnie Street around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The young man was taken to Tampa General Hospital with upper body trauma, police said. One other person had minor injuries, police said.
Authorities said at least four people were involved, some of them juveniles. The shooting was not random, police said. The names of those involved, including the injured, were not available Saturday night.
