Officers responded to a Tampa residence just after 8 p.m. Monday night after receiving a 911 call that someone was shot.
The victim, 32-year-old Benjamin Lee Rainey of Tampa, was found at his home at 2015 East Eskimo Avenue and was airlifted to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
His injuries appear to be non-life-threatening and detectives are investigating the motive of the shooting.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the house and found large quantities of marijuana.
