A man has died in a fiery crash after his vehicle veered off the road, hitting a tree head-on Tuesday morning, according to authorities. The victim was driving westbound on Rhodine Road from Boyette in Riverview and has not been identified.

When crews arrived, they found a pick up truck off the road upon a knocked down tree, with the truck heavily involved in fire, of which fire crews put out.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

Update: The victim has been identified as James Marcus Corn, 27, of Apollo Beach, Florida. His date of birth was February, 10, 1987, just a day before he died. He was driving on Rhodine Road at roughly 10:37 AM about one half mile west of Boyette. For unknown reasons, Corn lost control and drove onto the south shoulder of the roadway. The 2001 Ford continued west approximately 100 feet before striking an oak tree. Corn died as a result of his injuries.
