Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded to Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Co. located off Corporex Park Dr. for a fire inside a large coffee roaster.
Upon arrival, HCFR crews were met by the company management outside. Everyone at this facility had evacuated the building prior to firefighters arrival. The owner of the company told the crews about the fire in one of his large coffee roasters.
The crews quickly deployed their hose lines, entered the building and started to attack the fire until it was successfully extinguished. The quick action of our personnel prevented any further damage to the facility.
The fire was contained within that piece of equipment. A second alarm was called initially due to the size of the building, but it was cancelled minutes later after the danger was identified and under control.
There are no reports of injuries to civilians of fire rescue personnel.
