An early morning fire left a family of nine displaced.
Tampa Fire Rescue were called out to a house fire in the 1500 block of Annie Street this morning at 12:54 am. Upon arrival, crews found a large portion of the single story home engulfed in flames.
They attacked the fire and quickly extinguished it. According to fire rescue, the house belonged to a man and woman with seven children of various ages.
A witness on the scene says the family was alerted to the fire when smoke detectors were activated in the home. All involved escaped safely and there were no injuries reported.
Fire Marshal’s investigators are on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
