On Friday, April 11, 2014 at 9:08am, deputies responded to a home located at 4548 Hannah Lane in unincorporated St. Petersburg after a pit bull attacked his owner.
According to deputies, the dog’s owner, 50-year-old Hai Trinh Dang was arguing with his 16-year-old daughter through the door of her bedroom this morning at approximately 9:08 a.m. The pit bull was in the bedroom with the 16-year-old and became agitated due to the raised voices. Once Hai Trinh Dang opened his daughter’s bedroom door, the pit bull began to attack him.
9-1-1 was contacted and EMS and deputies arrived on scene. Dang was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has lacerations to his scalp, arm, hand and leg.
Animal services was contacted and took possession of the pit bull.
No charges are pending at this time.
The investigation continues.
