Talk of Arms To Jordan, Ukraine; Not Much Talk Of DHS Funding Bill Resolution

While senators on the Armed Services Committee conducted the confirmation hearing for Defense Secretary nominee Ashton Carter, they took to opportunity to urge the administration to send more military supplies to Jordan to assist them in their fight against ISIS, which for obvious reasons has amped up considerably of late.

There is also talk that the U.S. is leaning towards sending arms to Ukraine, to help in their battle against Soviet-backed rebels. Meanwhile, that DHS funding bill, with immigration executive action repeals attached, looks stuck, as Democrats hold enough sway in the Senate to keep it from coming to a vote.

House Republicans appear in no mood to budge. President Obama hosted a group of immigrants benefiting from his actions at the White House for whatever value to the argument that would deliver.
