Sarasota: I-75 Shut Down Near Fruitville Road

An overturned tanker has caused all lanes on NB I-75 near Fruitville Road in Sarasota. Drivers are urged to avoid the area. Traffic is backed up past Clark Road.

Traffic cannot get onto I-75 until University Pkwy. You can use Honore Ave or Lockwood Ridge Rd to get to University Pkwy and to I-75.

Sarasota officials say the driver of the fuel tanker was taken by helicopter to the hospital.
