St. Petersburg officials are giving residents a chance to share their opinions on how the city should go about replacing the Pier.

After appointing a 21-member Pier Working Group comprised of neighborhood and business leaders, Mayor Rick Kriseman announced the city will hold five public forums throughout the city.

Residents will complete a questionnaire on the Pier’s future design at each session as well as take part in a roundtable discussion and talk with members of the group helping decide the Pier’s future.

The dates are as follows:

♦ Thurs., June 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Childs Park Recreation Center, 4301 13th Avenue S.

♦ Tues., June 24, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Avenue N.

♦ Thurs., June 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Recreation Center, 1246 50th Ave. N.

♦ Mon., June 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Lake Vista Recreation Center, 1401 62nd Ave. S.

♦ Wed., July 2, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at J.W. Cate Recreation Center. 5801 22nd Ave. N.

Those interested in voicing their opinions but are unable to attend the meetings can complete the questionnaire and submit questions online here.
