St. Petersburg police are currently working what is reported to be a serious injury accident at 94th Avenue North just east of Gandy Blvd involving a PSTA Bus and an Acura MDX.
More than a dozen people were injured. There were a total of 15 people on the bus at the time of the accident and seven people were transported with various injuries. None of them severe or life-threatening. The driver of the bus was not among the injured, however a child was and got transported to All Children’s’ Hospitl.
According to deputies, it appears the Acura may have crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck the bus head on. The 57-year-old female driver of the Acura was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Any other information about her has not yet been released.
