On Wednesday June 12, International Plaza will host a collaborative cuisine event with Pelagia Trattoria’s Chef Brett Gardiner and Chef Darwin Santa Maria from Peru. The two talented chefs have joined forces to create a delicious Peruvian meal originating during a live demonstration at 3 p.m. at Pelagia Trattoria. This event is free and open to the public.
The menu will consist of a Pisco Sour, a traditional Peruvian cocktail (and one of my absolute favorite drinks), Peruvian Causa with Pork Belly and Escabeche (a versatile potato dish featuring pork belly and Peruvian chile peppers).
The special items with native ingredients and influence of Peru will be featured on Pelagia Trattorias menu from June 13 through August 8 as part of PromPeru: The Commission on the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism, International Plaza and Bay Street, an interactive and entertaining glimpse of Peru along with events, gifts and fun.
