Citrus County communications officers received a call at 8:21 AM Thursday morning in response to a one-year-old child in cardiac arrest.
Nature Coast EMS and deputies responded to the Bell Villa Mobile Home Park in Homosassa to find the male child in distress, according to police. He was immediately transported to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
As in all child death cases, detectives will be investigating the cause of death.
