NYC Building Explosion Leaves at Least 7 Dead and Dozens Injured

ABC News Correspondent, Aaron Katersky, live in New York, spoke with AM 820 News anchor, Robert Pankau, this morning about the latest on the NYC gas explosion. Seven people were killed and at least 28 were injured yesterday when a suspected gas explosion tore through a building in Manhattan’s East Harlem neighborhood, collapsing at least part of the structure. As of Wednesday more than a dozen people were still unaccounted for. Residents reported hearing a large explosion in an apartment building around 9 a.m. One resident who lived next door to the collapsed building reported smelling a strong odor of gas Tuesday night. A gas leak was called in to Con Ed and the explosion occurred before team arrived.
