With the announcements about streaming services coming out from behind the Xbox Live paywall yesterday, Microsoft has also decided to refund the customers who didn’t really want Xbox Live Gold in the first place.
In looking at the official faqs from Microsoft, in June, once the system update is rolled out to the consoles, those who purchased the subscription for the purpose of using streaming services will have their money refunded. While it is not clear if the refunds will be put back onto the original payment method, be a form of credit, or reside on the Microsoft store, the company has urged those affected to contact the appropriate support team.
