Coast Guard Rescues Two Capsized At Sea

MIAMI (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard in Miami rescued two people after their fishing boat capsized and sank hundreds of miles from Key West, Fla.

The names of the two people rescued late Wednesday were not released in a statement issued Thursday by the Coast Guard in Miami.

The pair was rescued from a life raft more than 250 miles from Key West after they were forced to abandon their fishing vessel, Hawaii Five-1.

The two survivors were brought to Key West International Airport, where local emergency medical services attended to them. They did not suffer any major injuries, said Coast Guard officials in their statement.
