Senate Committee to Review Obama’s Request for Immigrant Aid

On Thursday, the Senate Appropriations Committee will examine President Obama’s request for nearly $4 billion in handling the immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Republican leaders have argued that President Obama’s plan fails to address the underlying issues that have led to the mass migration of people from South and Central America.
