Interview: Iraq Military Takes Back Oil Refinery

Iraq’s military claimed Wednesday that it had have driven back militants who stormed the country’s main oil refinery in the town of Baiji, the latest front in the battle for control of swaths of Iraq. Control of the Baiji refinery is a key because Iraq’s economy depends on its oil production. Iraq has formally called on the United States to launch air strikes against the ISIS insurgents who have seized several key cities. The request was confirmed by top US military commander Gen Martin Dempsey.
