Interview: Hundreds Of Passangers Evacuated From Channel Tunnel Train

Channel Tunnel
Mass transit in the U.K. suffered a major blow when hundreds of passengers had to be evacuated from a shuttle train traveling from Britain to France, causing a halt in the Channel Tunnel.

The Le Shuttle train was as a quarter of the way through the tunnel when it encountered a problem with an overhead power line, losing power.

It caused delays of two to four hours as traffic had to be re-routed, while other passenger trains had to be canceled. Several cables were damaged and had to be replaced.
