Interview: Healthcare.gov Struggles Under Surge

AM 820 News anchor Roger P. Schulman spoke to ABC News correspondent Ann Compton about the Obamacare website, healthcare.gov, struggling to get enrollment.

A flood of last-minute applicants rushed to sign up for health insurance on Monday, deadline day for President Obama’s health care law, but not all were able to access the site on their first try thanks to a few technical glitches. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney acknowledged there was a problem, but reassured dotgov users the fix was “fast moving.” And public support for the Affordable Care Act narrowly notched a new high in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, and criticism of Barack Obama’s handling of the law’s rollout – although still substantial – has eased from its peak last fall.
