Interview: Edward Snowden Looking for Extended Stay in Russia

Edward Snowden
Former NSA contractor Edward Snowden has formally applied to extend his stay in Russia, where he has received temporary asylum since U.S. officials revoked his passport and charged him with espionage and theft of government property.

His passport is set to expire July 31.

Snowden was stranded in a Moscow airport last year while traveling from Hong Kong to Cuba, shortly after he revealed details about the NSA’s surveillance program.
