President Obama Increasingly Concerned Over Gaza, MH 17 Crash Site

President Obama dispatched Secretary of State John Kerry to Egypt to try and negotiate an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. On Sunday, conflict escalated in Gaza, bringing the death toll above 500.

Among the 13 Israeli soldiers killed Sunday were two Americans — California native Max Steinberg and Sean Carmeli, from South Padre Island, Texas, according to the U.S. State Department.

The situation in Ukraine involving the crash site of MH 17 has also prompted the president to grow increasingly concerned, with Russian separatists guarding the site and preventing investigators from doing their jobs.
