Interview: Are Americans Really Getting Good Health Care?

The bad news is that the U.S. has the most expensive health care system among 11 industrialized countries analyzed in a new Commonwealth Fund report. The worse news is that it is also the worst. According to the report, the U.S. ranks last overall on measures of health system quality, efficiency, access to care, equity and healthy lives when compared to 10 other countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
