An ambulance was flipped on its side after being hit by a wrong-way driver on I-275 Friday morning.
The driver of the Honda Accord didn’t survive after going north in the southbound lanes near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. The driver did not have a seatbelt on, according to the police report.
Two paramedics have been transported with non life threatening injuries. There were no patients in the ambulance.
All lanes are now open, according to Tampa police.
