GPS Satellite Has Launched From Canaveral

A new GPS satellite has been launched into space. The unmanned Atlas 5 launched right before midnight on Friday. The rocket carried a GPS 2F-7 spacecraft which will join the other satellites already orbiting 11,000 miles above the earth. The satellite will provide navigation for multiple sources including military and civilian users.

It’s going to replace a 17-year-old satellite.
