Gandy Beach: Man Found Cooking Meth In Car

The Tampa Tribune reports that a St. Petersburg man was arrested Saturday night after deputies say he was found on Gandy Beach cooking meth in his parked car.

Charles J. Tapp, 24, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and other chemicals.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies noticed Tapp’s dark-colored Chevy Silverado parked along a tree line on Gandy Beach about 10:30 p.m.

Inside the truck, they saw Tapp stuff objects in a bag in his back seat and saw multiple needles and items used to cook meth, deputies said.

Narcotics detectives were called to the scene and discovered methamphetamine, pseudoephedrine and hydrochloric gas.
