Competitors on Saturday came up short in an effort to set a new doughnut-eating record at Nicola’s Donuts in Tampa.
Rachel Waatti and Michelle Kaw, the shop’s owners, had permission from the Guinness Book of World Records to go for the mark, which was set in Australia in 2010 and entailed eating six powdered doughnuts in three minutes.
The task turned out to be easier said than done, however.
