Yesterday, the Pinellas Park Police Department, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Corrections, teamed up to conduct unannounced checks on high risk probationers within the city of Pinellas Park. Multiple officers from both agencies responded to the Butterfly Lodge located at 12500 US Highway 19 N. to conduct multiple, simultaneous contacts with all known probationers residing at the motel.
The result of this joint initiative resulted in the arrest of 11 subjects for probation violations. Most of the arrested subjects were on probation for sex offenses and are classified as sex offenders/predators.
The arrested subjects are as follows:
Marion Francis Richardson, 83
Richardson is on probation for a term of 15 years for Sexual Battery on a Victim under 16. Richardson violated his probation after being found in possession of marijuana.
Matthew Merritt, 20
Merritt is on probation for a term of 15 years for Sexual Battery on a Victim Less Than 12. Merritt violated his probation by being in possession of internet ready cellular phones.
Charles William Burnsed, 51
Burnsed is on probation for a term of 14 years, 6 months for 4 counts of Lewd & Lascivious Assault on a Child Under 16 and 1 Count of Sexual Battery. Burnsed violated his probation by being in possession of an internet ready cellular phone.
Allen Fredrick Shaw, 67
Shaw is on probation for a term of 12 years for 2 counts of Lewd & Lascivious
Assault on a Child Under 16. Shaw violated the terms of his probation by being
in possession of a weapon.
Robert Michael Saylor, 51
Saylor is on probation for a term of 15 years for Attempted Sexual Battery. Saylor did violate his probation for having pornography on his cellular phone.
Thomas J. McCarron, 66
McCarron is on probation for a term of 10 years for Sexual Battery on a Victim Less Than 12. McCarron did violate his probation by being possession of multiple weapons to include Samurai swords.
Frederick Santarpio, 57
Santarpio is on probation for a term of 6 moths for Attempted Unlawful Sexual Activity with a minor. Santarpio did violate his probation by being in possession of a cellular phone with internet capability. Santarpio was in possession of pornographic material and did have pictures of his penis on his cellular phone that he told investigators he was going to send it to his girlfriend.
Brian Keith Roberts, 42
Roberts is on probation for a term of 2 years, 2 months and 30 days for attempted sexual battery on a child under 12. Roberts violated his probation by possessing synthetic marijuana.

Christopher Moore, 27
Moore is on probation for a term of 5 years for Child Abuse. Moore violated his probation by being in possession of an internet capable cellular phone. Moore was also in possession of a pornographic video.
Vincent Anthony Palmieri, 59
Palmieri is on probation for a term of 5 months and 13 days for Trafficking in Illegal Drugs. Palmieri violated his probation by being in possession of marijuana.
Johnny Hutchinson, 50
Hutchinson is on probation for a term of 1 year, 5 months and 31 days for Burglary. Hutchinson violated his probation by being in possession of marijuana.
