Five Teens Arrested In School Prank

Deputies responded to Dixie Hollins High School after a citizen observed a group of juveniles jumping a fence to gain access to the school. Deputies established a perimeter around the school and were assisted by the Sheriff’s Flight and K-9 Units.

Deputies first located two of the suspects, 17-year-old Jaime Shaughessy and 18-year-old Shalleya Codrington in a breeze way of the school. Deputies say the two were in the process of vandalizing several doors and windows with multi-color markers.

The three others, 18-year-old Tyler J. Greenberg, 18-year-old Stephanie Sousek and 17-year-old Andre Szymanski were arrested at a private residence at 6781 31st. Terrace North in St. Petersburg, when deputies responded to that location to contact the parents of Shalleya Codrington.

According to deputies the teens marked over 200 exterior windows, doors, benches, columns and vending machines with markings such as “2014 and “Seniors Rule”; as well as vulgar markings. Deputies say they caused damage to the building, where the markings were unable to be removed.

The teens were interviewed by deputies. The teens stated they were seniors, some scheduled to graduate today; and wanted to “go out with a bang.”

All five were arrested for Burglary. Codrington, Greenberg and Sousek were transported to the Pinellas County Jail. Shaughessy, and Szymanski were transported to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center (PJAC).
