Fire Destroys St Pete Home

fire

St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue responded to 7363 17th Way N for a residential structure fire. When fire crews arrived on scene they found heavy black smoke and flames coming from the roof.

Fire crews made entry into the home to extinguish the fire and found two residences still inside the structure. Both residences were male, ages 55 and 26. The residences were taken to area hospitals for observation and appeared to have non-life threatening injuries.

St. Petersburg Fire Investigator determined the origin of the fire to have been in the kitchen. In addition, the structure did not have smoke alarms to alert the occupants. Fortunately, fire personnel were able make entry and rescue the residences.
