Developers hope a new name will help re-constituted downtown St. Petersburg shopping plaza to thrive. What used to be “Baywalk and the Shops at St. Pete” is now called “Sundial Shops at St. Pete”.
The name pays homage to the 28 foot Bowstrong Sundial in the courtyard.
40 million dollars is being spent to try and get shoppers’ interest, which “Baywalk and the Shops at St. Pete” could not do.
