Detectives Seek Suspect in Pinellas Trail Robbery

The suspect is 18-year-old Germaine Davansha SMALL (aka “Bolt”). He’s a black male, 5’6″ tall, 150 pounds, close cut hair and clean shaven.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, robbery detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for SMALL related to a February 1st armed robbery on the Pinellas Trail. The robbery took place on the Pinellas Trail, in the vicinity of 8th Avenue South and 46th Street at about 3:00 in the afternoon.

Detectives believe the SMALL and an accomplice physically attacked and robbed at gun point a man and woman riding their bikes on the Trail. During the robbery SMALL struck the woman in the face with the butt of a handgun knocking out several of her teeth.

After the robbery, SMALL and his accomplice took the victim’s bikes and other personnel belongings and fled the area. The bikes were later recovered in the area of 18th Avenue South and 45th Street. The firearm used in the robbery has not been recovered.

Efforts to locate SMALL so far have been unsuccessful and detectives are offering a reward for information leading to his arrest. Detectives do believe that SMALL is aware that he is wanted by the police and is hiding to avoid capture.

SMALL does have prior arrests for residential burglary and auto theft.
