The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the shooting that took place at the West Coast Spine and Injury Center as a self-defense case.
Officials believe Jaime Velez and Dr. Lenny Linardos were involved in some type of domestic dispute and Velez arrived to the office yesterday morning armed with a gun. A confrontation ensued between the two men and Linardos, who was also armed, fired his weapon injuring Velez.
Velez remains in critical condition and thus investigation is ongoing.
