Mose Powell Jr. walked into a child care center at 1802 North Albany Street shortly after 10:25 a.m. He told one of the employees that “people were looking for him” and the employee immediately called 911. When officers arrived on scene they were able to confirm that the man was Mose Powell Jr., a 90-year-old Alzheimer’s patient who was reported missing shortly after 8 a.m. on May 4. He told the officers that he was with a friend.
Powell appeared to be in good condition, however as a precaution officers called paramedics to the scene to check on his welfare.
The officers are now taking Powell home to reunite him with his family.
