A man is dead after charging police with a butcher knife, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to deputies, the suspect had burned clothes and stabbed a cat before charging them with a butcher knife.
The incident occurred just before 6 am at 3117 Bloomingdale Villas Court. The suspect was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition, the sheriff’s office said. There were three deputies involved and none were injured. The suspect died as a result of his injuries, according to police.
