Anger Erupts As South Korea Ferry Transcript Reveals Chaos

Chaos and confusion plagued communications between marine traffic control and the crew aboard a South Korean ferry, as the boat began tilting dangerously before capsizing, a radio transcript released Sunday showed. The radio recording revealed a lack of directions and indecision on both ends, which ultimately could have added to the delay of the evacuations and contributed to the rising death toll. As of Sunday, the death toll had reached nearly 60 with more than 200 still unaccounted for. Divers have now been able to enter the ferry, and death toll numbers are expected to markedly increase.
