The Alaska Airlines has landed their first flight in Tampa with 162 passengers. The idea behind the airlines is to expand tourism in Tampa by having a non-stop flight go from Seattle and Tampa. The flights aren’t as expensive one would think with flights as low as $170 one way. This should boost Tampa’s local economy. It is a plan that has been in the works for a few years. St. Petersburg has actually pledge some money to help Alaska Airlines market trips for two years.
